About

Editorial policy

Our planning guidance uses official sources and manually maintained policy snapshots. Final boarding and entry decisions remain with carriers and Chinese border inspection authorities.

Source priority

Official sources come first. We prioritize immigration authority, government publication, consular, port-of-entry, airport, and carrier channels over commercial summaries.

If our guidance conflicts with an applicable official source, treat the official source as controlling.

Checks and policy snapshots

Policy data dates identify the source information represented by a snapshot; verification dates record our manual checks against known sources. These dates do not mean the information is live, exhaustive, or automatically updated.

In its default configuration, the policy monitor compares official policy pages once a day. Detected changes are queued for human review; site updates are decided and maintained manually. Check current official requirements before travel.

Translation and human review

English is the source for our translations. AI-assisted translations of safety-sensitive content go through back-translation checks. Segments flagged for review or uncertainty are withheld from the translation output and sent to a human review queue.

For flagged safety-sensitive segments, a human reviewer records approval in translation overrides with a sign-off timestamp. Until then, missing translations fall back to English.

What we do not do

We do not book travel or submit official forms on your behalf. Our tools process inputs locally in your browser, and we do not intentionally collect passport numbers or sensitive document data.

We provide general planning information, not legal or visa advice for an individual case. Do not send passport scans, identity documents, payment details, or full booking confirmations through contact channels.

Commercial independence

Affiliate relationships do not influence eligibility logic, official policy wording, source priority, or how the checker presents government rules.

Commercial products are optional. Buying through a partner link does not improve eligibility. Providers are separate services with their own terms and privacy practices.

Report a correction

Use the correction inbox on our contact page to report policy mismatches, source updates, broken links, or page errors. Include the affected page, an official source, its publication or snapshot date if visible, and a short explanation.

We cannot promise an individual reply. For urgent or case-specific decisions, consult official immigration, consular, and carrier sources. Please do not send sensitive documents.

Where we use AI

AI assists translation, source retrieval, and policy-change analysis, including extracting facts and summarizing differences for review. These support tasks do not generate the transit checker's result.

The transit checker calculates its result locally using deterministic rules and the published policy snapshot; it does not ask AI to generate the eligibility result. A positive result remains a planning pre-check, not permission to board or enter.
